I work with nonprofits, foundations, conservation organizations, sanctuaries, and zoos on the questions that shape whether programs succeed: whether animals in your care are genuinely thriving, whether a program is achieving what it set out to achieve, and whether a grant portfolio is invested where it will do the most good.

Because I’ve worked both in animal welfare and on the funding side of conservation, I can look at the same program the way the people running it do and the way a funder will — which is often where the most useful recommendations come from.

How an engagement works

    We talk through what you’re trying to achieve, what’s already been tried, and what’s getting in the way.

  2. Scope

    I propose a scope, deliverables, timeline, and cost. Nothing starts until we’ve agreed on them.

  3. The work

    Research, review, observation, and analysis, carried out with your team rather than around it.

  4. Recommendations

    Practical, evidence-based recommendations and the agreed deliverables, written to be acted on.

Pricing

Engagements are scoped after an initial conversation about your goals, timeline, and budget, and quoted individually. If a shorter or smaller engagement would serve you better, I’ll say so.

If cost is a barrier, say so — rates are not fixed for everyone.
